Who are we?
Gamito was born from the union of a family driven by the desire to create with purpose.
It began with a mother, passionate about sewing for over 10 years, and a daughter, guided by design and the art of imagining new ways of caring. From the start, they were joined by the discreet but essential support of her husband and son-in-law, always present in the construction of this project.
We followed different paths, but we share something greater: motherhood, family, and all that it represents. Raising babies is, for us, an act of love, but also of responsibility and dedication.
Through handcrafted pieces made in our atelier, we seek — and will continue to seek — to meet the needs of babies and their caregivers, combining affection, aesthetics, and functionality in every detail.

Paula Gamito
My talent for sewing comes from my grandmother, and although life only showed me at 40 that this was my true path, today—at 51—I can say that I do what I love most. I've always loved children and even dreamed of being an early childhood education teacher, but sewing ended up being the most beautiful way to combine that love with my work.
For many years I did alterations, but it was in creative sewing that I found my happiness. Here I can put my heart into each piece, create freely, and dedicate myself to what truly inspires me.
I'm a doting grandmother and a woman happy to have my family close by. And, at Gamito, besides being a seamstress, I'm also the more emotional side—because I feel everything intensely and believe that affection can be perceived in every stitch I make.
Nicole Gamito Gomes
I always dreamed of being an entrepreneur, I considered various areas, but it was only after becoming a mother that everything took on a new meaning. The world of babies naturally appealed to me, and growing up alongside a seamstress mother who always inspired me, I challenged her to start her own business.
Today, I am the one who brings the creative side of Gamito to life: I conceive the pieces, work on the aesthetics, design the items, and take care of everything related to the digital presence.
What truly motivates me is my family and the deep desire to closely follow my son's growth. At the same time, I feel a tremendous urge to create projects that can support and inspire other families, sharing a message of slowing down and living more calmly, with more presence and intention, in a world that insists on operating on autopilot. All of this is born and grows with the evolution of the brand, always with the same purpose: to create with time, perfectionism, and heart.
Gonçalo Gomes
I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur, and my mind is constantly thinking of solutions—it's stronger than me. Despite having my job, I end up dedicating all the time I can to Gamito because I truly believe in this project that we've built as a family.
I've always enjoyed computers and, out of curiosity and a desire to learn, I deepened my knowledge of programming and website creation. That's how I ended up developing our website from start to finish. I'm also very good with numbers and paperwork, so I'm responsible for everything that keeps the brand's foundation organized.
I want to be a very present father, which is perhaps my greatest motivation.
Our commitment
We believe in a more conscious way of creating. All our pieces are handmade in our studio in small batches. Working this way allows us to reduce waste, control each step, and ensure that we only produce what truly makes sense, with care, time, and intention.
We know that sustainability is an ongoing journey. Today, our focus is on responsible production. As we grow, we want to continuously improve our choices, seeking alternatives with a lower environmental impact whenever possible.
In addition to production, we also care about how our items reach you. Our orders are shipped in simple, safe, recycled cardboard packaging, designed for reuse or recycling.
We create with heart and with respect for the planet. Because we believe that the future of our babies also begins with the small choices we make today.
